About the Sticktight Flea
Measuring only 5 mm, this flea is a dark brown color. It embeds its head into the skin of its host and is typically found around the eyes and other thin, soft issue areas. Once the flea is attached, it cannot be brushed off and is best removed with a topical pesticide. Although they do not carry diseases, the damage caused by scratching and removal can lead to secondary infections.
